The merchants’ houses in Al Mudayrib Village were used as meeting halls for wealthy clans and refuges in times of war. Today, the rooms are used for local ceremonies but the general public is not allowed to use them whenever they want. The best time to visit Al Mudayrib is just before Eid.

As the name suggests, it takes place every Tuesday during the week and you can find swords, daggers, textiles, palm leave goods, gold and silver, agricultural meat and fish products, and handicrafts made by Badiya villagers

Khawr Al Baleed lagoon is located in the east and north part of the city and receives its name from the ancient city which lies on the bank of the city. The lagoon was connected to the sea and used as a natural port due to its depth. The history, archeology, and nature of the lagoon multiply its importance.
