Jebel Akhdar

The Jebel Akhdar is part of Al Hajar Mountains range in Ad Dakhiliya governorate of Oman. It rises to a height of 2,980 m (9,780 ft) and encompasses the Saiq Plateau at 2,000 m above sea level. Jebel Akhdar has lots of labyrinth wadis and it is popular for its mild Mediterranean climate which causes the grow of pomegranates, apricots and roses in abundance. There have been several rock art sites discovered and studied which goes back to 6000 years ago
