Eid Al Adha is a four-day celebration that starts on the 9th day of the month of Dhul Hajj in the Islamic calendar. Arafat day is the day on which Prophet Mohammed made his farewell address and Eid Al Adha is the day on which Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham) willingness to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail (Ishmael), on God’s demand is commemorated.

Eid Al Adha is celebrated for three days during which Muslims are encouraged to take the pilgrimage to Mecca or alternatively spend time with friends and family, symbolically sacrifice an animal and pray and listen to a sermon at a mosque.
