Khawr Ash-Shams lagoon covers about 20 kilometers and is located in Wilayat Khasab in Musandam Governorate. Many villages overlook the lagoon and you can go hiking, watch dolphins, and stay in a camp. In the middle of Khawr Ash-Shams, there is Al Telegraph island which was a base to connect telegraph cable and link Basra in Iraq to India.

Khasab Fort Oman is located in Khasab, Musandam. It was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century around an older circular tower, this well-preserved fort now is one of the best little ethnographic museums in Oman.

Traditional Kumzar village, one of the most strategic trade arteries of the world, is located in the north part of the country in Musandam Governorate and it is only accessible by boat. It was inhabited for about 500 years but now, it is the second most populated village town in this country. The village is a tourist destination that provides a port and airport. There are lots of mountain goats walking around and climbing the rocks in this area.

Wadi Ad Dayqah is about 90 kilometers far from Wadi Aday located in Muscat Governorate. It is one of the famous tourist attractions in Oman which has an important protection and irrigation role for surrounding villages.

There are the best off-road trails that make a memorable experience on Oman mountain roads. There are also some stunning cliffs among which we can mention the Snake Canyon, located in the middle of Wadi Bani Awf, for both abseiling and jumping activities
