A natural river close to Khasab City in Musandam Oman is called khawr Najd which has breathtaking beautiful scenes from the top of the mountain. It is the best choice for overnight camping, especially in the cold months.

Khasab Fort Oman is located in Khasab, Musandam. It was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century around an older circular tower, this well-preserved fort now is one of the best little ethnographic museums in Oman.

Traditional Kumzar village, one of the most strategic trade arteries of the world, is located in the north part of the country in Musandam Governorate and it is only accessible by boat. It was inhabited for about 500 years but now, it is the second most populated village town in this country. The village is a tourist destination that provides a port and airport. There are lots of mountain goats walking around and climbing the rocks in this area.

Alkasfah hot spring is located in Wilayat Ar Rustaq of Al Batinah South Governorate and is about 170 km away from Muscat. It is believed that the hot spring has a mountainous source. The temperature varies in different hot springs; about 45 degrees in Al Kasfah. There are some beneficial properties such as treating Rheumatism and skin diseases due to the high level of Sulfat content. As for other features of this hot spring, we can mention PH 7.62, Calcium 100.40, and Magnesium 25.73.

Al Husn Souq is located in the middle of Salalah’s old neighborhoods. The Souq derives its name from the Al Husn Palace (Sultan Palace) and you may hear other names for that such as Haffah Souq, Frankincense Souq, Luban Souk, and Bakhur Souk. According to the abundance of handicrafts, it has a traditional style and its surrounding maintains the architectural personality. There you can find frankincense, traditional Omani dress, and perfumes.

There are several outstanding beaches enumerated as the most characterizing factors in Al Wusta Governorate. They vary in topography and nature. In Ash Shuwayir and Ras Al Madrakeh, you can see some natural awnings which seem to be carved by humans in the surrounded rocks. The shores in Mahout and Al Jazir are carpeted with clean and soft sands. You can enjoy the mild weather.

Al Kittan cave is located in Wilayat Ibri (8 km far from Ibri) in Ad Dhahirah Governorate. It is also called ‘marble cave’ due to its marble-like luminosity. There are beautiful rock engravings and geological formations such as classic stalactites, stalagmites, and other cave formations. The entrance of the cave is circular and horizontal. Therefore, you should have a guide because it isn’t easily accessible.
