Nakhal Fort also known as Husn Al Heem, is located in Wilayat Nakhal in Wadi Raqeem of Al Batina South Governorate. It is 120 km away from the west of Muscat. You can enjoy the scenic view due to the several palm trees surrounding it. The Ministry of Tourism operated a museum in the fort which represents historic guns.

Wadi Bani Kharus is located in Wilayat AlAwabi of Al Batina South governorate. Al Hazm fort, one of the most beautiful Omani forts, is located in Wilayat Ar Rustaq in Al Batinah South Governorate. It was renovated and restored and changed into a high potential tourism attraction due to its unique architecture and solid defense features. It is open from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM every day except on Fridays. You can visit al Hazm Fort from 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM on Fridays.

Alkasfah hot spring is located in Wilayat Ar Rustaq of Al Batinah South Governorate and is about 170 km away from Muscat. It is believed that the hot spring has a mountainous source. The temperature varies in different hot springs; about 45 degrees in Al Kasfah. There are some beneficial properties such as treating Rheumatism and skin diseases due to the high level of Sulfat content. As for other features of this hot spring, we can mention PH 7.62, Calcium 100.40, and Magnesium 25.73.

Ath Thawarah hot spring also called Nakhal spring, is located in Al Batina South Governorate and near the Nakhal fort.

Bandar Khayran Reserve Lagoon is about 40 minutes far from Bandar Al Rawdha Marina by boat. It is located in Muscat and you will enjoy the path while some dolphins swim along and accompany the boat. You will also enjoy the Rocky Mountains and white-washed small houses overlooking the majestic sea. Bandar Al Khayran waters are home to many diverse organisms and fish due to the permeated coral reefs in the water. There are also 22 beautiful and charming diving locations.

Mutrah Fort, one of the oldest forts, is located on a rocky hill that overlooks the town. It was built by the Portuguese in the mid-16th century during their occupation. The fort was used for keeping prisoners. It is interesting that it still preserves its original war weapons and structures.
