Traditional Qannah is an old village located at Khawr Sham in Wilayat Khasab in Musandam Governorate. The stone houses in the village were the first line of defense and the village is accessible by boat through the sea.

Khasab Fort Oman is located in Khasab, Musandam. It was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century around an older circular tower, this well-preserved fort now is one of the best little ethnographic museums in Oman.

Traditional Kumzar village, one of the most strategic trade arteries of the world, is located in the north part of the country in Musandam Governorate and it is only accessible by boat. It was inhabited for about 500 years but now, it is the second most populated village town in this country. The village is a tourist destination that provides a port and airport. There are lots of mountain goats walking around and climbing the rocks in this area.

The narrow canyon is home to crystal clear blue water pools and also a secret waterfall inside a cave. Freshwater cascading from tops of the mountains meet the briny sea water on its banks, creating an environmental diversity, making it stand on a pedestal of its own when compared with the other wadis in the Sultanate

Alkasfah hot spring is located in Wilayat Ar Rustaq of Al Batinah South Governorate and is about 170 km away from Muscat. It is believed that the hot spring has a mountainous source. The temperature varies in different hot springs; about 45 degrees in Al Kasfah. There are some beneficial properties such as treating Rheumatism and skin diseases due to the high level of Sulfat content. As for other features of this hot spring, we can mention PH 7.62, Calcium 100.40, and Magnesium 25.73.

Wakan village is located in Wilayat Nakhal in Al Batina South Governorate and the right order with Ad Dakhiliya and Al Hajar mountains. You can reach the Wadi Mistal and surrounding mountains at the entrance of Wakan Village. There are several hiking tracks; the one passing through the village is the most accessible and the easiest one. Farming and agriculture caused beautiful terraced gardens of pomegranate, grapes, apricots, etc. you can see beautiful apricot flowers in the right season. Take some warm clothes if you’re traveling to Wakan village during winter.

Bait Ar Rudaydah castle is 24 km away from Nizwa, at the entrance of Wadi Al Muaydin. It represents a combination of historical and defensive architecture. This castle changed into a museum that demonstrates the heritage weapons of Oman and the progression in weapons during the passage of time.
