Al Buraimi

Al Buraimi governorate with a 121,802 total population, including the Wilayats (provinces) of Al Buraymi (the central town), Mahdah, and a third wilayat called As- Sunaynah which was created from parts of the two was split from the Ad Dhahirah region. Al-Buraimi is located in northwestern Oman on the border with the United Arab Emirates. The governorate has a hot desert climate.

Al Buraimi has a vital strategic and commercial location. There are well-known attractions of Al Hillah Castle built around 1800 with a rectangular ground plan and two enclosures and the walls rise to a height of 4-6 meters; Al Khandaq Castle is one of the important monuments in Al Wilaya which is a calm and quiet area for a weekend visit and free of fee which is just open on workdays during work hours; also, you can reach Wadi Al Qahfi 50 kilometers away from Wilayat Mahdah. Among the important reasons to visit this wadi, we can mention to favoring nice rocky scenery, barbecuing and enjoying the open sky, swimming, and fishing. Spending some time in Lilastours historic site, Al Buraimi shopping Mall, and Al Midan Mall can be a good idea during your travel to Al Buraimi. July is the hottest month with the max temperature (of about 44℃) the third week is the warmest usually. But be aware of Rain and Thunderstorm. The coldest month is December. In this month temperature could be even 13℃ at night! And be prepared for Fog.
